Combining radar and camera data, the Sorento senses the potential for a collision with a pedestrian, car or object ahead, and applies emergency braking to avoid or reduce the effects of a collision.

The available blind spot detection system actively monitors your blind spots for approaching vehicles and provides a visual alert on the instrument cluster and outside mirrors, as well as an audible alert when necessary. Available on GT-Line grade.

Ingenious LKA monitors how well you're staying in your lane and can actually step in and provide corrective steering input in order to keep you from inadvertently crossing over into other lanes of traffic.

When backing out of a parking space, the Rear Cross Traffic Alert system detects and warns you of approaching traffic. Available on GT-Line grade.

The DAA system monitors the driver and will give warning signals to encourage the driver to take a break if it senses the driver's attention level has been significantly reduced.

Dynamic Bending Light (DBL)

To improve nighttime driving visibility, this system aims and controls the distribution of the low beams as the vehicle goes through turns in proportion to the turning angle. Available on GT-Line grade.

The Sorento offers front and side airbags for driver and front passenger, as well as two side-curtain airbags to protect all passengers. Along with advanced high-strength steel, the Sorento is engineered to help direct crash energy away from the cabin.
